Artwork Requirements
Better source artwork produces cleaner decoration and reduces avoidable preproduction delays.
Preferred files
AI and CDR vector files are preferred because shapes and colors can be separated and resized cleanly. EPS, SVG and true vector PDF files can also be useful.
Raster requirements
PNG, TIFF or JPG artwork should be at least 300 DPI at the final reproduction size. A small web graphic cannot be made print ready simply by saving it inside an AI or PDF file.
Fonts and linked assets
Whenever possible, convert fonts to outlines/curves and include or embed linked images so the file opens correctly.
Screen-print color planning
If the goal is economical bulk screen printing, consider whether the design can communicate effectively in one, two or three colors.
Embroidery adaptation
Embroidery may require simplification, minimum lettering sizes and digitizing choices that differ from screen-print artwork.

Frequently asked questions
Why is 300 DPI mentioned?
Raster images are made of pixels. Adequate resolution at final size helps avoid visible pixelation and rough edges.
Is a PDF automatically vector?
No. A PDF can contain low-resolution raster images. The actual contents matter more than the extension.
Can you use Canva artwork?
If exported artwork contains usable vectors or high-resolution elements it may be reviewable, but a print-production source file such as AI/CDR is preferred.
